What we are looking for

Houses in this area with 3 bedrooms, a hallway and a large kitchen!

House Viewing

So we went to see the first house on our search for our new home, it didn't start too well!
The stench of damp was rather drastically covered up by numerous sickening air fresheners but this couldn't hide the sight of the collapsing walls and stupid use of space in what could have been a very handsome house.

We were all ready and excited to view a much more picturesque house on Sunday when I received the news that someone else has brought it and our viewing was cancelled!

Boo house hunt fail...

Kick Starting the move

We are moving house! Since Monday we have been sprucing up our flat ready to sell. My Mum and Dad have really got stuck in cleaning, painting and fixing things and it is looking very good. We had 60 things on the todo list and are left with around 40 tasks to complete ahead of Wednesdays valuations.
We are paring back everything and going for a clean bright airy feel but still retaining some of the personality in our flat. Mum and Dad think it should all be packed away and we should be left in a magnolia box but luckily Emma and I share the opinion that a home is for living in!

So far we have

  • Sorted through all our books and decided that we don't need 125 of them!
  • Painted the hall, stairs, bathroom and kitchen
  • moved some light fittings
  • de cluttered the living room kitchen, hall way, bathroom and dressing room
  • gone through all our clothes and shoes and given lots away to charity (and some (long overdue) to the bins)
  • thrown away 5 bags of rubbish and recycled 4 boxes of paper and hundreds of carrier bags
  • sorted all our CD's in to keep, sell, find cases, find cd
  • cleaned out several cupboards and the fringe and freezer
  • refitted and fixed a few drawers
  • rehung 2 blinds
  • fixed numerous bits of things
  • had a bad and ridiculously over charged man clean the gutters and clean 2 windows (he was supposed to do more but didn't)
  • sent 6 boxes and 2 chairs to my parents house for storage
  • dusted, cleaned, vacuumed, swept and moped
Thank you so much mamma and papa!

Unexpected Quizzing

Last night Emma and I stumbled on a Quiz Night at Kitchen Garden Cafe and joined a team with 3 lovely Kings Heath mums from the Baptist Church Play Group!

We got 82 points and the winning team got 89 but we still came 5th it was a close race!

Lots to do at Stage2

In both a good way and a hard work way, there are so many opportunities and so much work to get done.
2 weeks today is the opening night of my show which is hugely exciting and also causes a bit of stress as we have lots more tickets to sell!
